Arrival
Of The Train

My body thirsts in every pore
Looking for doors
Where have we gone
Come in my window
Where is the whisper in our ear
The delicate sincerity of youth
The persistence of faith
And the beauty of innocent devices
We must be strong before the guest who arrives
Wants to take us aside
And put us to sleep
To forget what we are made of
Feel your deep pulse and arrive like a train
Ablaze
Cast in flames
Pursuing at the door
Yearning to pour ourselves upon the earth
To rise above the foolish hopes
And become the example we search for
The glowing ember of life
The oily remains of roses crushed
Erupted and awoken
Lush and luminous visions
To create from thin air
Are we almost there
Am I dreaming the possibility
Are we our greatest enemy
Or our closest friend
