Bones
In The
Sand

In a dusk
We try to understand
What it all meant
We stood in the sand
The wind knocked us aside
Beating organs collide
But our minds raced
Raced out the door
Beyond the shores we tried to build upon
Crumbling in the storm
I thought I knew you
I thought we were on stones
I thought our home was stronger
Than the storm
Is this a genesis
Born from our dust
A dawning
An awakening we prayed upon
Beasts buried alive
We are meant to survive
For the future we slept to dream about
Either way we win
Either way
You will always be here
I will always be there for you
Look above
More than what we see
What it all means
We stand to believe
The fierce gusts of pride sweep by
Defeated purpose
But our beating organ
Never let us down
Beyond the effects of the race
We chance our place
Our purpose
I thought we were on stones
But we can always move bones
And grow again
Is this a genesis
Born from our dust
A dawning
An awakening we prayed upon
Beasts buried alive
We are meant to survive
For the future we slept to dream about
Either way we win
Either way
You will always be here
I will always be there for you
And I live to breath and lay in those bones
I dream to believe I’m back in the sand
But will we ever understand
Will we ever command our highest hope
I know you will
I know you will
We should
I know I will
Is this a genesis
Born from our dust
A dawning
An awakening we prayed upon
Beasts buried alive
We are meant to survive
For the future we slept to dream about
Either way we win
Either way
You will always be here
I will always be there for you
