Consumption
Of The Dawn

Previous
Next

Early morning birds sing rhythmic stories
The light passes over buttery bodies
An empty bottle bedside
One deep in dreams
One half asleep but anxious
For a simple rush
A simple kiss
A noble pursuit
A noble wish
A consumption of forms
Beyond words or thoughts
A connection through touch
It doesn’t take much
For delight to ensue
But the bell rings soon
And the moment is gone
A fleeting beauty
Now an empty space
Next to where once a warm body lay
Oh if only you would stay
