The Brilliance
In Transitional
Experience

I see you
I know you are breathing heavy
Under fire and smoke
Your heart choking
Your soul sinking
Your light fading
But I see you
I know you are swirling in clouds
A tornado sucking you down
Through messy thoughts
Destructive thoughts
Scary thoughts
But I see you
And I know your power
I know where your thoughts
Are capable to flow
You will glow again
I see you
I know you are frightened
Your spirit stripped bare
Exposing raw flesh
The secrets
Deep within you
And I know where this ends
Your ember is weak
But it still burns
It refuses to release
It will never cease to seize
That dying spark
And believe
I see you
And I see the mountains and valleys
The peaks and the creeks
The brilliance in transitional experience
And I see you
I see when you wake
When you arrive from the night
When the nightmare makes sense
And you look back
And you wouldn’t trade a moment
You wouldn’t give a second lost
In the blazing black woods back
You wouldn’t throw a single stone
From your broken home back
You take those dead trees
And you take those stones
And you breathe back in life
You rebuild your ever evolving mind
Into ever deeper zones
A complex spirit moving complex bones
A stronger heart now ready to start
Now seeing the part where he can serve on the earth
To make a better world
And if you hadn’t been twisted and twirled
Into a soot covered pearl
You would never know the cost
The price to pay to see new skies
To peer through new eyes
To lead in the way you are destined

Steel
To Oil
To Gas

I send you light
I imagine you full of brightness
The heavy sheets of steel covering your daily imaginings
I perceive them melting into a swirling comforting liquid
That warms you up
Makes you feel safe and comfortable
Takes away the pain
Takes away the fear
Covers you like a shiny oil to soften your skin
And brings you to life again
Until it heats enough to turn to gas
Evaporates from you
Taking all the angsts and tears and weight of burden
Into the air to be free and forgotten
And you will feel light
And you will feel free
And you may never look at me the same again
But I will always send you love

I Will
Always
Hear You When
You Call

Nowhere do you go
That I am not close
It is beyond trying to comprehend
The depth of truth between us
The blissfully addicted
Rapture smitten hearts
Awoken within us
Are never left with deaf ears
I will always hear you
When you call

Only You
Break Your
Own Heart

Freedom is a whisper
A beckoning beyond
My heart it cries to see
Hands upon me flee
Glimmering mists of oceans
Beaming prism light
Carry me in the wind
Lift me out of sight
My body is an illusion
It lays beneath me still
The world can’t break your heart
Yet so beautifully will

When The
Haze Becomes
Our Favorite
Embrace

Days drip by like drops of moonlight
Glistening glow simmers a low shine
The haze becomes our favorite embrace
Our favored desire to slow the pace

Wandering wonder focus falls under
Hearts erupt in a blaze of thunder
Finding depth in the bottom of a bottle
Finding death of faith in the fog

And it seems we’ve been here before
And we know we have a long way to go
While the combustion on the horizon
Gives birth to a sparkling new sun

We know it is time to change
To awaken our strength
For without us even realizing the exchange
The haze became our favorite embrace

What Are
You Thinking
My Love

Fine ripe eyes
Bulging with erupting disguise
Of a venomous facial discursion
That protects the chemical processes
Within your head
What are thinking about my love

For if I rationalize the pulses
Of radiating thoughts I may misconstrue
And leave you in vain
A common mistake
A chaotic karmic distaster
In the chambers of a revolver
I have blown it before
Over something so simple

Can you save yourself
Will you persist in pools of quandaries
Paths of resistant freedom
Silence over unstable queries
Unsure momentum
Differing places in heaven
Spirits facing retribution
Or perhaps relief
If only you would speak up
